RITB Members... If this post is out of line, please let me know and I will remove it.  I just don't know where else to post this item other than in a trail and ultra runners forum! I am looking to unload my Spot 2 Satellite GPS Messenger.  I used it for a couple of days last summer and it has been in the box ever since.  It comes with a leather carrying case and retails for $169 but I would entertain any reasonable offers around $100.  It is very reliable when in places where signals are…See More

Pinhoti Trail Adventure Run

Starting on May 1, 2010, a team of two ultra runners from Northern Alabama will attempt to set the Fastest Known Time on the 335 mile Pinhoti Trail. I'm planning doing my 5th R2R2R run on May 1st. We have a rather large group of interested folks at the moment- could be 20 - 40 people altogether with some doing rim to Phantom Ranch and back, but a bunch doing the whole 48 miles - over and…

Hi Eric, Randy and I have done it twice (well the full once and a 3/4 version the 2nd time). The first time was mid-October and the 2nd time mid-May. It will be warm, so you'll want to plan on a fair amount of water although all the water…
