Race Team Member, Chad Wamack, and his AT Birthday Run in the Smoky Mountains

Several years ago Jamie Dial told me about his first solo attempt at running the Appalachian Trail throughout the Great Smoky Mountain NP, 72 miles. My first thought was--ridiculous! The concept was so intimidating but at the same time it fired me up. Over half of the run is above 5,000 feet and reaches more than 6,000 feet 6 times, pretty good for east coast standards. To cover that much ground over that kind of terrain, 18,000 feet of climbing over the 72 miles, had to be an epic adventure.…See More

Rock/Creek Race Team Member, Randy Whorton, finishes Men's 3rd Masters Finisher for the River Gorge 10.2 Mile Trail Race

The year has not started with the big runs and running adventures that I had hoped. I succumbed to the lung crud that seemed to be so popular and my wife is suffering through decompression therapy for an old injury and has not run a step in several months. There was no logic in sight that would lead me to think that I would be fit for a strong River Gorge this year.I marked the course in…See More

Red Top RumbleI highly recommend running Red Top Rumble in Cartersville, GA, which was held on February 7th . The 11.5 mile trail run was perfectly marked and stocked with great volunteers, food, and prizes. It turned out to be a great run for me as I was 1st female and 19th overall out of 258 runners,…See More
